Sewing Poppies

Last week ... cooking.

This week ... sewing!

Room 1 have made poppies using felt, a material that nobody had seen or used before.
We used a black button for the center of the poppy, so we learnt how to sew a button on, using a needle and cotton.
There was a small group that were keen to learn more sewing skills so worked during lunch time to sew the small poppy onto the large one. We will be using the poppies to do an art activity.
