The school cross country was run on Thursday and thankfully we had a beautiful day.
The people of Room 1 that participated did an amazing job, all showing a Growth Mindset.

Maths Week is here ...

Today Room 1 worked hard to solve problems together in the Survivor Series task to crack codes and in the Daily Dollar task where questions answered correctly earned dollars.
Every day this week there is a new code to crack and dollars to earn!
At the end of the week a correct code will lead to some treasure and a winner with the most dollars.
Go Room 1!

So proud of Leo, Kate, Abby and Emily who participated in the Dance Festival on Wednesday and Thursday nights. They were amazing, although looking a bit old.

Scratch

Room 1 now have Scratch accounts through Mrs Poole's Teacher Account, a new and fantastic feature, as it lets us view and share each others work. We can 'look inside' other peoples projects to learn new skills. Leo (the expert) showed us some of the features of Scratch to get us started. Our focus was to have a 'play' and work collaboratively to gain new knowledge and skills.
If you haven't yet heard about Scratch, click here for a link to the Parents page on their website.

Scratch says on their website ...

Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically - essential skills for life in the 21st century.
